Safety switches are designed to pro-

tect both people and machinery from

numerous dangerous conditions that

exist not only in the industrial envi-

ronment, but also in the commercial

world. Some of the switches available

include: manual reset switches used

for elevators, cable pull switches used

for mining applications, convey-

ors or assembly lines, key interlock

switches used for safety doors and

barriers, hinge-mount switches used

for monitoring the position of doors

or gates. The most popular sizes and

shapes are offered. Their rugged metal

housings and economical plastic hous-

ings provide one to three 1/2" NPT

conduit entryways.

SMS safety magnetic sensors are used to monitor the position status of hinged, sliding,

or removable guards. Can be used in extremely harsh industrial environments where

dirty and damp conditions are common, as well as applications where washdown occurs.

The sensors are available in rectangular and cylindrical housings, with a variety of output

options. Specially coded magnets are also available, to guarantee the safety of the

system, by making the sensor impossible to trip with standard magnets. Conforms to

safety category 3 or 4, depending upon type.
